Our Dog Pepper
Last week we had to say goodbye to our wonderful black labrador retriever, Pepper. When she was about four years old, we adopted her from a local family that was moving, and we've had the pleasure of her ridiculously happy energy for over nine years. We miss you Pepper!

That's too bad Kristin! Our family lost our cat Tigger of about 17 years two years ago to a mtn lion, so I understand what it's like to say goodbye to a beloved pet! Although for the last couple months we've had a black boy cat adopt us after it just showed up at our house one day. We didn't feed it for about a week when it first started coming by but after it was still here after that week, we figured that the cat decided to call us home. My daughter named him "Inky Midnight Diamond." The diamond is for the white patch of fur on the front of his chest that is in the shape of a diamond.

I didn't mean to start writing a cat book! I just wanted to say I understand and know how you miss your dog! I hope you are John are doing okay!

We're doing okay - better as we go of course. I loved your black cat story - my mom adopted a black cat pretty much the same way! ;-)
